Departing from MIA, the group will fly directly to Tel Aviv.
DAY 2 – December 3
You are scheduled to arrive in Tel Aviv in the the afternoon and will transfer to your hotel in Tiberias, on the Sea of Galilee.
On the way, you will are scheduled to visit Caesarea, where Paul almost persuaded Agrippa to be a Christian and Mt. Carmel, where Elijah challenged the prophets of Ba’al
You will enjoy dinner at the hotel.

DAY 3 – December 4
Today, you will visit Megiddo, which guards over the Valley of Armageddon; Gideon’s Spring (Judges 6-8), Sephoris, Kfar Kedem for lunch. After lunch, you will review Bible history with a view over the Nazareth Ridge before visiting the Nazareth Village, a first-century village that will provide a visual and cultural experience of village life in the times of Jesus.

DAY 4 – December 5
This day will be spent in the north. You will visit Hazor, the major security post in the north of ancient Israel; and Dan, where you will see Jereboam’s altar and a rare mud brick gate from the time of Abraham. Continuing north, you will visit Banias Falls before arriving at Caesarea Philippi where Peter made his confession, “Thou art the Christ, the son of the living God.”
Finally, you will return to your hotel by way of the Golan Heights where you will visit Nimrod’s Castle, then Korazin and the Arbel Cliff around the Sea of Galilee.
After a buffet dinner you will be free to visit the lake shore or hang out around the hotel and talk with others about the day’s activities.

DAY 5 – December 6
This promises to be a beautiful day as you spend the morning focusing on the ministry of Jesus. The day will begin with an early boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. After arriving back on shore, you will visit Capernaum, Jesus’ ministry center in the Galilee, the Mount of Beatitudes, and Tabgha.
After lunch, you will begin your journey to Jerusalem. Along the way, you will visit Bet Shean, where Saul’s body was hung; Qasr al-Yahud, a possible location of Jesus’ baptism; Wadi Qelt, and the Mount of Olives.

DAY 6 – December 7
An early breakfast will get you ready for a wonderful day in Jerusalem, the Holy City. You will ascend the Temple Mount, the most sacred area in the world for Jews and the third holiest for Muslims. You will visit the Pool of Bethesda (Jn 5) and walk a portion of the Via Dolorosa to the Holy Sepulchre. Afterward, you will visit the Southern Wall excavations, then the Jewish Quarter for lunch.
You need water shoes to end the day with a walk through Hezekiah’s Tunnel. This 1750 feet long water channel takes you under the City of David to the Pool of Siloam (Jn 9).

DAY 7 – December 8
A very early start will take you to Beth Shemesh, Azekah, and the Elah Valley. Bring a bag to gather some smooth stones as souvenirs.
The afternoon will include stops at Qumran the Dead Sea and Jericho.

Today will be a special day. You will begin the day that the the day the Holocaust Museum. Afterward, you will visit the Shepherd’s Fields and eat lunch in Bethlehem.
After lunch, you will return to Jerusalem to visit the Jewish and Christian Quarters.

DAY 10 – December 11
After breakfast you will ascend the Mount of Olives for an overview of Jerusalem, the Kidron Valley and the Eastern Gate. Afterward, you will descend by foot to the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus was betrayed by Judas, then to the Garden Tomb to remember the burial and resurrection of Jesus.
After lunch, you will have free time to see new things, revisit previous sites, shop, or prepare your things for your return flight.

DAY 11 – December 12
After breakfast you will say goodbye to Jerusalem and transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for your return flight, bringing back to Houston with memories that you will cherish forever.

PASSPORTS: All participants must have a valid passport that is valid for at least 6 months beyond their return date. Any participant that intends to travel on a non-USA passport, assumes the responsibility to determine if an entry visa is required prior to arrival in Israel. The Government of Israel provides visa information here.
It is the responsibility of each participant to obtain and maintain a valid USA passport. Discipleship Travel LLC is not responsible to secure a passport for participants, nor for the validity of currently held passports.
Participants that do not have a valid USA passport, should apply for one immediately. It generally takes 8-12 weeks to receive/renew a passport.

PHOTOGRAPHY: By registering for this tour, participants give Discipleship Travel LLC permission to use and publish photographs in which they may be included for the use of promotion, print, editorial, advertising or other related purposes. Additionally, by registering for this tour, participants specifically release Discipleship Travel LLC from all claims and liability relating to said photographs.
BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE: Due to airline contracts, bus size, and included porterage, are allowed one checked bag, not to exceed 62 inches (length plus width plus depth) and 50 lbs. Participants may also bring one small carry-on item. Participants should consult the airline’s international baggage regulations as restrictions frequently vary by airline and may change without notice.
CONSUMER DISCLOSURE NOTICE AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY
Discipleship Travel LLC is acting as a mere agent for suppliers in selling travel-related accepting services, or in accepting reservations or bookings for services that are not directly supplied by Discipleship Travel LLC (such as air and ground transportation, hotel accommodations, meals, tours, cruises, etc.). Discipleship Travel LLC, therefore, shall not be responsible for breach of contract, failure to comply with any laws such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), or any intentional or negligent actions or omissions on the part of such suppliers, which result in any loss, damage, delay, inconvenience or injury to travelers or travelers’ companions or group members. Traveler assumes complete and full responsibility for, and hereby releases the agents of Discipleship Travel LLC, any duty of checking and verifying any and all passport, visa, vaccination, or other entry requirements of each destination, and all safety and security conditions of such destinations, during the length of the proposed travel. By embarking upon his/her travel, the traveler voluntarily assumes all risks involved in such travel, whether expected or unexpected. Traveler is hereby warned of the above risks as well as possible travel industry bankruptcies and medical and climatic disruptions, and the possibility traveler may be unable to travel as scheduled because of personal emergency. Can I get a single room?
Yes, there are a limited number of single rooms available. However, there is a single supplement fee of $850 required for a single room.

What is the baggage allowance?
Participants are allowed one (1) checked bag and one carry-on at no additional cost. The checked bag may weigh up to 50 pounds and measure 62 inches (L+W+D). The carry-on can measure up to 45 inches (L+W+D). Baggage restrictions can vary by airline. Therefore, it is important to verify the specific airline’s baggage regulations before you get to the airport.

What out-of-pocket expenses should I expect?
Lunches will be approximately $20 each day. Soft drinks and ice cream cost about $2-3 each. Bottled water is $1-3, and will be available on the bus each day. You can spend from $1 to thousands on souvenirs and collectibles. If you are interested in visiting the diamond factory, please inform your guide so that he can make arrangements.
How much walking will we be doing?
The average day includes approximately 3-5 miles of walking. This is not done in a single walk; rather it is done in small increments throughout the day, and you will have opportunities to rest along the way. Please begin preparing for this element of the tour now. Start by doing small walks, then slowly build up your distance. Also, include some inclines (hills or stairs) in your routine.
