We received the following notice from Sar El Tours and Conferences on January 8, 2020 at about 08:00A. Sar El is one of the largest ground services providers in the Israel tourism industry. Their assessment of the current situation in Israel is helpful.

Dear Friends,
Shalom. We hope this message finds you well and warm.
Here in Israel it is very cold; snow is falling on Mt. Hermon and we are bracing for another wet few days. Our tours are all running on schedule. Our tour guides are experts at how to tour around the rain storms; the hillsides have become green and lush and soon the wild flowers and almond trees will be in full bloom.
We know that many of those planning on traveling with you are expressing concerns regarding the recent conflicts with Iran in Iraq. We are of course saddened by all conflict in the Middle East, but as is always the case in times such as these, here in Israel everything goes on as normal. Nothing has changed in our daily schedules and no military call ups have happened. We are of course on alert, but we are always on alert! We welcome calls for restraint in our region and do not anticipate that leaders on either side of the recent events want to escalate tensions. We anticipate another record-breaking year of tourism in Israel and look forward to welcoming our many visitors to the Land of the Bible. Thank you for being our partner in this fruitful time!
