DAY 1 – June 9 Register Here!

Departing from Los Angeles, you will connect with an overnight flight to Tel Aviv.

DAY 2 – June 10

Mediterranean Sunset at Netanya

You are scheduled to arrive in Tel Aviv in the early evening and will transfer to your hotel in Netanya, on the Mediterranean via Joppa where Jonah sailed away from the Lord’s calling.

After settling into your room you will enjoy a buffet dinner and have the evening free to enjoy a leisurely stroll along the waterfront or among the various shops in the area.

DAY 3 – June 11

This promises to be a beautiful day as you make your way north to the Sea of Galilee. On the way you will stop at Caesarea, where Paul almost persuaded Agrippa to be a Christian, Mt. Carmel, where Elijah challenged the prophets of Ba’al, Megiddo, and Nazareth, the boyhood town of Jesus.

Today, you make your way north to the base of Mount Hermon and see the headwaters of the Jordan River. At Dan, you will see Jereboam’s altar and a rare mud brick gate from the time of Abraham. Next, you will drive up to Caesarea Philippi where Peter made his confession, “Thou art the Christ, the son of the living God.” Finally, you will return to your hotel by way of the Golan Heights. You will also visit Capernaum, Jesus’ ministry headquarters, see the ancient “Jesus Boat” and travel by boat across the Sea of Galilee to Afterward, you will visit the Mount of Beatitudes.

DAY 5June 13

Shabbat Shalom! After a visit to Mt. Arbel, you will leave the Galilee and spend the remainder of the day in the Jordan River Valley traveling to the Dead Sea. You will visit Bet Shan, Qasr el Yehud, and swim in the Dead Sea to finish your day.

DAY 6June 14

Today, you make your way to Jerusalem, but not before seeing some fascinating places. You will ride the cable car to the top Masada, a first-century fortress where the Jews resisted a Roman siege for 3 years. Next is En Gedi, where it is suggested that David hid from Saul. Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were hidden and Jericho will round out this day before you “go up to Jerusalem!”

DAY 7June 15 Register Here!

An early breakfast will prepare you for your ascent to the Temple Mount. Following an overview of OT Jerusalem model you will explore the Jewish Quarter, Southern Excavations, the City of David, Warren’s Shaft, and finally arrive at the Pool of Siloam via Hezekiah’s Tunnel. Bring water gear!

DAY 8June 16

This morning, you will focus on Old Testament history as you visit the northern and western approaches to Jerusalem, including Nabi Samwil, Beth Shemesh, Azekah, and the Elah Valley. Bring a bag to gather some smooth stones as souvenirs. The afternoon itinerary includes an overview of the ancient city of Jerusalem at the Model of the City. Next door at the Shrine of the Book, you will see some of the ancient Dead Sea Scrolls.

DAY 9June 17

Your final day of touring Jerusalem will include visits to the Mount of Olives, the Garden of Gethsemane, Haas Promenade, and an overview of Bethlehem. You will have a free afternoon to do some shopping or additional sightseeing, and to get your bags ready for your return flight. After a farewell dinner, you can get some rest before going to the airport.

An early morning departure is scheduled to bring you back to Los Angeles in the early afternoon.

The “FINE PRINT”

The TOUR PRICE: *$3525 – Each registered participant agrees to pay the tour price indicated on the tour brochure (DT1504) in a single payment OR in payments that correspond to the payment schedule provided below.

The price listed in this brochure is based on current airline transportation and fuel surcharge taxes ($710) and are subject to change without notice until the airline tickets are issued. In the case of a fuel surcharge tax increase, each passenger agrees to pay the difference prior to departure.

INCLUDED IN PRICE: coach airfare from/to Los Angeles, California, double-occupancy** accommodations in superior to deluxe hotels, entry fees, guides, drivers, breakfast and dinner buffets, climate controlled buses, porterage, taxes and tips (hotel staff, drivers, and guides). **The single supplement is $550.

NOT INCLUDED IN PRICE: lunches, a la carte beverages at buffets (e.g., soft drinks and alcohol), daily water or snacks, souvenirs or personal expenses, any expenses resulting from illness or accident, passport costs, or any other expenses not specifically mentioned above as included.

ITINERARY CHANGES: The related itinerary (DT1504) is subject to change according to local conditions, which may include, among other things, weather, security and crowd considerations. If an itinerary change necessitates extra overnights, each traveler will be responsible for the added costs.

AIRLINE TICKETS and FLIGHT TIMES: All flight times are subject to change by the airlines without advance notice. Discipleship Travel LLC is not responsible for such changes or delays and does not reimburse expenses resulting from such delays. Discipleship Travel LLC recommends and sells travel interruption insurance.

REGISTRATION: To register for this tour a $300 deposit is due by October 15, 2014. Late registration requires a $25 non-refundable late fee. Registrations submitted after February 09, 2015 will incur a $50 non-refundable late fee.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE: Fifty percent (50%) of the tour price must be paid by February 09, 2015, 120 days prior to departure. The final balance must be paid by April 25, 2015, 45 days prior to departure. Late payments will incur a $25 non-refundable late fee and may cause forfeiture of reservation.

CANCELLATIONS:
Any cancellation from registration until 121 days prior to departure will result in a $200 cancellation fee.
Any cancellation between 120-61 days prior to departure will result in a $500 cancellation fee plus any airline penalties.
Any cancellation between 60-45 days prior to departure will result in a $1000 cancellation fee plus any airline penalties.
No refund will be given for any cancellation that occurs less than 45 days prior to departure.
