Tour Itinerary:

DAY 1 – March 29

Departing from Columbus, you will connect with an overnight flight to Tel Aviv.

DAY 2 – March 30

You are scheduled to arrive in Tel Aviv in the mid-morning and will transfer to your hotel in Tiberias, on the Sea of Galilee via Caesarea where Paul almost persuaded Agrippa to be a Christian, Mt. Carmel where Elijah challenged the prophets of Ba’al, and Megiddo, one of King Solomon’s fortified cities and the namesake for the Battle of Armegedon. After settling into your room you will enjoy a buffet dinner and have the evening free to enjoy a leisurely stroll along the waterfront or among the various shops in the area.

DAY 3 – March 31

Your day will begin with a buffet breakfast. After breakfast the group will travel around the Sea of Galilee to the Mount of Beatitudes. Next, you will visit Capernaum, Jesus’ ministry headquarters. Before boarding a boat to cross the Sea of Galilee for lunch, you will see “the Jesus Boat,” a fishing boat from the time of Jesus. After experiencing St Peter’s fish for lunch, you will visit Nazareth and Cana. You will end the day with a delicious buffet dinner at your hotel in Tiberias.

DAY 4 – April 1

This promises to be a beautiful day as you make your way north to the base of Mount Hermon and see the headwaters of the Jordan River. At Dan, you will see Jereboam’s altar and a rare mud brick gate from the time of Abraham. Next, you will drive up to Caesarea Philippi where Peter made his confession, “Thou art the Christ, the son of the living God.” Finally, you will return to your hotel by way of the Golan Heights. After a dinner you will have a free evening.

DAY 5 – April 2

Today, you will make your way “up to Jerusalem.” On the way, you will visit Bet Shean, one of the best preserved Roman cities in the eastern Mediterranean; Jericho; and the Jewish stronghold Massada. From there, you will drive through the Judean Wilderness, ascending from the Dead Sea, the lowest place on the surface of the earth, to Jerusalem. After getting settled in your room, you will enjoy a buffet dinner and a free evening.

DAY 6 – April 3

Today’s itinerary includes an overview of the ancient city of Jerusalem at the Model of Jerusalem, next door at the Shrine of the Book, you will also see some of the ancient Dead Sea Scrolls. In the afternoon, you will visit the Upper Room on Mt. Zion before entering the Old City of Jerusalem to visit the Jewish Quarter. The last stop of the day will be a visit to the Southern Excavation of the Temple Mount, where you will see remains of the Roman destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70 and climb ancient steps that led into the Temple. This is one place we can say without a doubt, “Jesus walked here!” After a full day, you will be able to relax over a wonder buffet dinner. After dinner, you have the option of attending a free lecture about evangelistic ministry among Muslims.

DAY 7 – April 4

An early breakfast will get you ready for a wonderful day in Jerusalem, the Holy City. You will visit the Western Wall and the Rabbinic Tunnel in the Old City. You will also ascend the Mount of Olives for a overview of Jerusalem. Those who are interested will walk down the Mount of Olives to meet the rest of the group at the Garden of Gethsemane where you will remember the night Jesus was betrayed by Judas. On the way back to the hotel, you will stop at “Skull Hill” and the Garden Tomb, one of the suggested locations of Jesus’ crucifixion, burial and resurrection of Jesus. After dinner, you have the option of attending a free lecture about evangelistic ministry among Jews.

DAY 8 – April 5

Shabbat Shalom! Today is the Sabbath and after breakfast, you will get to experience the Sabbath in Jerusalem by attending a local church service. The preaching will be in Hebrew and English and will be a blessing to you. After worshiping the Lord at the Jerusalem Assembly, the group will transfer to Bethlehem for an optional lunch before visiting the Church of the Nativity, the traditional location of Jesus’ birth. The last stop of the day will be overlooking the Shepherd’s Fields on the edge of Bethlehem. From there, you will transfer back to Jerusalem for a buffet dinner at the hotel.

DAY 9 – April 6

Your last tour day in Jerusalem begins with an early breakfast and visit to the Temple Mount, where the ancient Jewish Temple once stood. Today, the gold Dome of the Rock, a Muslim shrine, stands in its place. After exiting the Temple Mount, you will walk the Via Dolorosa, remembering Jesus’ walk to the cross. The walk will begin at St. Anne’s, a Crusader church built over the remains of the Pool of Bethesda and end at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, which has the oldest tradition of being the location of Jesus’ crucifixion, burial and resurrection.

DAY 10 – April 7

After breakfast, you will say goodbye to the Holy City and transfer to Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion airport for your return flight.

The “FINE PRINT”

The TOUR PRICE: Each registered participant agrees to pay the tour price that corresponds to the final number of passengers in the group outlined in the price scale in this brochure. The payment schedule is based on the “high” price, and quantity discount refunds will be provided by check at the time of departure.

The price(s) listed are based on current airline transportation and fuel surcharge taxes, and are subject to change without notice until the airline tickets are issued. In the case of a fuel surcharge tax increase, each passenger will be responsible to pay the difference before departure.

INCLUDED IN PRICE: coach airfare from/to Columbus, Ohio, double-occupancy accommodations in superior to deluxe hotels, entry fees, guides, drivers, breakfast and dinner buffets, one lunch at the fish restaurant, climate controlled buses, porterage, taxes and tips (hotel staff, drivers, and guides).

NOT INCLUDED IN PRICE: lunches (except as designated in brochure), a la carte beverages at buffets (e.g., soft drinks and alcohol), daily water or snacks, souvenirs or personal expenses, any expenses resulting from illness or accident, passport costs, or any other expenses not specifically mentioned above as included.

ITINERARY CHANGES: The attached itinerary is subject to change according to local conditions, which may include, among other things, weather, security and crowd considerations. If an itinerary change necessitates extra overnights, each traveler will be responsible for the added costs.

AIRLINE TICKETS and FLIGHT TIMES: All flight times are subject to change by the airlines without advance notice. Discipleship Travel LLC is not responsible for such changes or delays and does not reimburse expenses resulting from such delays. REGISTRATION: A deposit of $300 is required to register for this tour.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE: Fifty percent (50%) of the tour price must be paid by November 29, 2013, 120 days prior to departure. The final balance must be paid by January 28, 2014, 60 days prior to departure.

CANCELLATIONS: After registration, cancellation for any reason will result in a $200 cancellation fee.
• Any cancellation between 120-91 days prior to departure will result in a $1000 cancellation fee plus any airline penalties.
• Any cancellation between 90-61 days prior to departure will result in a $1500 cancellation fee plus any airline penalties.
No refund will be given for any cancellation that occurs less than 61 days prior to departure.
