Departing from Los Angeles, the group will connect with an overnight flight to Tel Aviv.

DAY 2 – June 5

After arriving in Tel Aviv you will transfer to your hotel in Netanya, on the coast of the Mediterranean. After dinner, you will have a free evening to visit with friends at the hotel or walk along the beach.

Today, your study focus will be the coastal plain. You will visit Caesarea, where Paul almost persuaded Agrippa to be a Christian; Mt. Carmel, where Elijah challenged the prophets of Ba’al; a first century rolling stone tomb; Megiddo, which guards over the Valley of Armageddon; Ein Harod where Gideon selected his army; Jezreel, the home of Ahab and Jezebel, and finally, the Nazareth Ridge.

DAY 4 – June 7

You’ll have an early start today, visiting the Church of the Annunciation before heading to the Sea of Galilee. The Arbel Cliff will give you a wonderful overview of the Sea of Galilee and surrounding areas. You will also visit the Mt. of Beatitudes, Capernaum, Tabgha, Magdala, and sail across the Sea of Galilee.

This day will be spent in the north. You will visit Hazor, the ancient guard post over the northern entrance into the land; Dan, the location of Jereboam’s altar and a rare mud brick gate from the time of Abraham. Next, you will drive up to Caesarea Philippi where Peter made his confession, “Thou art the Christ, the son of the living God.” Finally, you will return to your hotel by way of the Golan Heights and Bethsaida. After a buffet dinner you will be free to visit the lake shore or hang out around the hotel and talk with others about the day’s activities.

DAY 6 – June 9

On today’s itinerary are Bet Shean, the city where King Saul’s body was hung by the Philistines; Qasr el Yehud, a traditional baptismal site on the southern Jordan River; Jericho, Qumran, En Gedi, and a swim in the Dead Sea.

DAY 7 – June 10   REGISTER HERE!

Up to Jerusalem! On the way, you will visit Masada, Herod’s palace/fortress; Beersheba, Lachish, Azekah, Beth-Shemesh, and the Biblical Gardens at the IBEX campus. In the evening you will visit the Western Wall.

DAY 8 – June 11

After and overview of the Jerusalem, you will spend the day visiting the OT Jerusalem Model; Hezekiah’s Broad Wall, the City of David, Warren’s Shaft, and the Pool of Siloam.

An early breakfast will get you ready for a wonderful day in Jerusalem, the Holy City. You will ascend the Temple Mount, the most sacred area in the world for Jews and the third holiest for Muslims. You will visit the Pool of Bethesda (Jn 5) and walk a portion of the Via Dolorosa; visit the Cardo and Jewish Quarter, then, visit the Southern Temple Mount excavations. After dinner, you will tour the Western Wall Tunnels.

Overnight: Jerusalem

After breakfast you will ascend the Mount of Olives for an overview of Jerusalem, the Kidron Valley and the Eastern Gate. Afterward, you will descend by foot to the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus was betrayed by Judas.

After lunch you will see the Dead Sea Scrolls in the Shrine of the Book and a scale model of first century Jerusalem. Both are located at the Israel Museum. You will finish the day in the Jewish Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem.

DAY 10 – June 13

You will begin the day with a walk to Zion Gate outside Old City where you will visit the Upper Room, and the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu before transferring to the Garden Tomb. In the afternoon, you will visit the Israel Museum, the Shrine of the Book, the Model of the Jerusalem from the Herodian Period.

DAY 11 – June 14   REGISTER HERE!

Today is your final day in the Holy City. You will ascend the Mt. of Olives to get an overview of the city, then descend to visit the Garden of Gethsemane. Afterward, you will transfer to Bethlehem, then to the Herodium, Herod’s desert palace and place of burial.

You will have the afternoon free to visit shop, visit your favorite place, or pack for your return trip.

DAY 12 – June 15

After a night’s rest, you will transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for your return flight to Los Angeles with a lifetime of memories.
