Covid-19 Travel Considerations:
Each participant is solely and personally responsible for compliance or non-compliance with all Covid-19 protocols established by the airlines and/or any relevant governments. Because the Covid-19 protocols are fluid, regularly changing according to current conditions, Discipleship Travel LLC is not responsible for any changes to protocols by any authorities or any losses incurred by a participant as a result of Covid-19 protocols or Covid-19 illness.
Israel currently requires all visitors to have already received the Covid-19 vaccine.
DAY 1 – May 19**
Departing from Odessa (MAF) on United Airlines, the group will connect with an overnight flight to Tel Aviv (TLV).
DAY 2 – May 20
The group is scheduled to arrive at Ben Gurion International Airport (TLV) at 2:00PM. After gathering the luggage and getting the bus loaded, the group will transfer to the hotel on the Mediterranean Sea.
After dinner, you will have a free evening to visit with friends at the hotel or walk along the waterfront.

DAY 3 – May 21
Today, you will make your way to the Sea of Galilee. Along the way, you will visit Caesarea, where Paul almost persuaded Agrippa to be a Christian; Mt. Carmel, where Elijah challenged the prophets of Ba’al; Megiddo, which guards over the Valley of Armageddon; and, finally the Nazareth Village, a first-century village that will provide a visual and cultural experience of village life in the times of Jesus.

DAY 4 – May 22
This day will be spent in the north, traveling all the way to the border with Lebanon. On today’s itinerary are Hazor, Solomon’s northernmost fortefied city; Dan, considered the northern boundary of Israel (i.e., “from Dan to Beersheba”), where Jereboam built an altar and golden calf; the headwaters of the Jordan River, which include the Dan, Banias, and Hatzbani Rivers; Caesarea Philippi where Peter made his confession, “Thou art the Christ, the son of the living God”; and the Golan Heights.
After dinner you will be free to visit the lake shore or hang out around the hotel and talk with others about the day’s activities.

DAY 5 – May 23
This promises to be a beautiful day as you focus on the ministry of Jesus. You will visit Capernaum, Jesus’ ministry center in the Galilee, the Mount of Beatitudes, worship on the Sea of Galilee as you take a boat across the lake to a St. Peter’s Fish lunch. After lunch, you will visit the baptismal area at the Jordan River.
After dinner you will be free to visit the lake shore or hang out around the hotel and talk with others about the day’s activities.

DAY 6 – May 24
Today, you will cross over the border into Jordan. After clearing the border, you will visit Madaba to see a 6th century mosaic map of the Holy Land. Afterward, you will visit Mount Nebo, where Moses viewed the Promised Land before his death.

DAY 7 – May 25
The day will start with a fascinating visit to Petra, the Hidden City built in the desert cliffs by the Nabateans. After lunch, you will transfer to the Dead Sea resort hotel where you can visit and float in the Dead Sea. You will also be able to use the spa facilities at the hotel.

DAY 8 – May 26
A late checkout will allow you to use the spa or visit the Dead Sea. After lunch, you will cross the border back into Israel. Depending on how long it takes to cross the border, you will visit Qumran, the community that wrote and hid the Dead Sea Scrolls and/or Jericho, where the walls came tumbling down. You will get your first view of Jerusalem as you approach the city over the Mount of Olives.
After dinner you will be free to take a taxi downtown for ice cream/coffee or hang out around the hotel and talk with others about the day’s activities.

Floating on the Dead Sea
DAY 9 – May 27
This morning you will head west of Jerusalem to the Elah Valley where David defeated Goliath. Make sure to bring your bag to gather some smooth stones as David did (1 Sam 17). Afterward, the group will visit the Israel Museum, which houses the Dead Sea Scroll exhibit as well as the reproduction model of 1st Century Jerusalem. Finally, you will visit Mount Zion and the Christian Quarter.

DAY 10 – May 28
After breakfast you will ascend the Mount of Olives for an overview of Jerusalem, the Kidron Valley, and the Eastern Gate. Afterward, you will descend by foot to the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus was betrayed by Judas, then to the Garden Tomb to remember the burial and resurrection of Jesus.
After lunch, you will have free time to see new things, revisit previous sites, shop, or begin preparing your things for your return flight.

DAY 11 – May 29
An early breakfast will get you ready for a wonderful day in Jerusalem, the Holy City. You will ascend the Temple Mount, the most sacred area in the world for Jews and the third holiest for Muslims. You will visit the Pool of Bethesda (Jn 5) and walk a portion of the 1st Century Pilgrim Walk. You will visit the Western Wall and the Southern Wall excavations. You need water shoes to end the day with a walk through Hezekiah’s Tunnel. This 1750-foot long water channel takes you under the City of David to the Pool of Siloam (Jn 9).
After dinner, you will transer to Ben Gurion International Airport for your return flight.

An early morning flight will bring you home with memories of a lifetime.

Late payments will incur a $25 non-refundable late fee and may cause forfeiture of reservation.

Each registered participant agrees to pay the tour price indicated on the tour brochure in a single payment OR in payments that correspond to the payment schedule provided below.
The price listed in this brochure is based on current airline transportation and fuel surcharge taxes ($140) and US dollar exchange rates known at time of booking and are subject to change without notice. Discipleship Travel LLC regrets that should any of these costs change, a surcharge may be added to the cost of each participant’s tour. Notification of any such changes will be provided and must be paid prior to travel.

MINIMUM PARTICIPANTS: The minimum number of paying participants for this tour is twenty (20). In the case that twenty (20) participants fail to register and/or make final payment, the group may be canceled by Discipleship Travel LLC and all payments, less a $200/per person handling fee, will be returned. Alternatively, Discipleship Travel LLC and the group leader may agree on a supplement to be paid by each participant to continue with the tour even though there are less than twenty (20) participants. If the group fails to be viable, Discipleship Travel LLC is not responsible for, nor will Discipleship Travel LLC reimburse any expenses incurred by participants in preparation for the tour.
ITINERARY CHANGES: The related itinerary is subject to change according to local conditions, which may include, among other things, weather, crowd, health or security considerations. If an itinerary change necessitates extra overnights, each participant will be responsible for any additional costs.
AIRLINE TICKETS and FLIGHT TIMES: All flight times are subject to change by the airlines without advance notice. Discipleship Travel LLC is not responsible for such changes or delays and does not reimburse expenses resulting from such delays. Discipleship Travel LLC recommends travel interruption insurance.
DEVIATIONS & CHANGES: Requests for deviations from the group’s flight itinerary are subject to availability and space plus an applicable airfare surcharge and a $300 deviation fee per person. To enable finalizing of group arrangements, requests and changes are not accepted less than 120 days prior to departure.
INSURANCE: Discipleship Travel LLC recommends that each traveler purchase a travel insurance policy that will sufficiently cover any medical emergencies that may arise. If a traveler does not have sufficient insurance coverage, that traveler will be personally responsible for his/her own medical expenses and Discipleship Travel LLC assumes no liability for any such expenses.

PASSPORTS: All participants must have a valid passport that is valid for at least 6 months beyond their return date. Any participant that intends to travel on a non-USA passport, should contact Discipleship Travel LLC to determine if an entry visa is required prior to arrival in Israel. The Government of Israel provides visa information here.
It is the responsibility of each participant to obtain and maintain a valid USA passport. Discipleship Travel LLC is not responsible to secure a passport for participants, nor for the validity of currently held passports.
Participants that do not have a valid USA passport, should apply for one immediately. It generally takes 8-12 weeks to receive/renew a passport.

PHOTOGRAPHY: By registering for this tour, participants give Discipleship Travel LLC permission to use and publish photographs in which they may be included for the use of promotion, print, editorial, advertising or other related purposes. Additionally, by registering for this tour, participants specifically release Discipleship Travel LLC from all claims and liability relating to said photographs.
BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE: Due to airline contracts, bus size, and included porterage, are allowed one checked bag, not to exceed 62 inches (length plus width plus depth) and 50 lbs. Participants may also bring one small carry-on item. Participants should consult the airline’s international baggage regulations as restrictions frequently vary by airline and may change without notice.
LEGAL JURISDICTION: The participant agrees that Christian County Circuit Court (110 W Elm St #202, Ozark, MO 65721) will serve as the legal jurisdiction for any disputes between participant and Discipleship Travel LLC.
CONSUMER DISCLOSURE NOTICE AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY
Discipleship Travel LLC is acting as a mere agent for suppliers in selling travel-related accepting services, or in accepting reservations or bookings for services that are not directly supplied by Discipleship Travel LLC (such as air and ground transportation, hotel accommodations, meals, tours, cruises, etc.). Discipleship Travel LLC, therefore, shall not be responsible for breach of contract, failure to comply with any laws such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), or any intentional or negligent actions or omissions on the part of such suppliers, which result in any loss, damage, delay, inconvenience or injury to travelers or travelers’ companions or group members. Unless the term “guaranteed” is specifically stated in writing on your tickets, invoice, or reservation itinerary, Discipleship Travel LLC does not guarantee any of such supplier’s rates, bookings, reservations, connections, scheduling, or handling of baggage or other personal effects. Discipleship Travel LLC shall not be responsible for any injuries, damages, losses or changes caused to any traveler in connection with terrorist activities, social or labor unrest, mechanical or construction failures or difficulties, diseases, local laws, climatic conditions, abnormal conditions or developments, or any other actions, omissions, or conditions outside the control of Discipleship Travel LLC. Traveler assumes complete and full responsibility for, and hereby releases the agents of Discipleship Travel LLC, any duty of checking and verifying any and all passport, visa, vaccination, or other entry requirements of each destination, and all safety and security conditions of such destinations, during the length of the proposed travel. By embarking upon his/her travel, the traveler voluntarily assumes all risks involved in such travel, whether expected or unexpected. Traveler is hereby warned of the above risks as well as possible travel industry bankruptcies and medical and climatic disruptions, and the possibility traveler may be unable to travel as scheduled because of personal emergency. Traveler is advised to obtain appropriate insurance coverage against such risks; information is available through Discipleship Travel LLC regarding travel insurance.
In consideration of the inherent risks associated with international travel, and as part payment for the right to participate in such activity or the services arranged by Discipleship Travel LLC or their agents, the traveler hereby assumes all of the above risks and voluntarily releases Discipleship Travel LLC, their agents and assigns, and does hereby discharge, waive and relinquish any and all actions or causes of action for personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death occurring to the traveler arising as a result of participating in such activity or activities incidental thereto, wherever or however the same may occur and for whatever period said activities may continue, and does for themselves, their heirs, executors and administrators, and assigns hereby release, waive, discharge, and relinquish any action or cases of action, aforesaid, which may arise for the traveler and his/her estate, and voluntarily agrees that under no circumstances will he/she, or his/her heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, prosecute, present any claim for financial or personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death against Discipleship Travel LLC their employees and/or agents for any of said causes of actions, whether the same shall arise by the negligence of any of said persons or otherwise. IT IS THE TRAVELERS INTENTION BY THIS INSTRUMENT TO EXEMPT AND RELIEVE DISCIPLESHIP TRAVEL LLC, THEIR EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS FROM LIABILITY FOR FINANCIAL or PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR WRONGFUL DEATH CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE.
